I will be switching to bosch platinum plugs next week, and i am hoping for a few extra ponies like you get when you put platinums in a 2 stroke. Will it give a bigger pop on the esprit?

Has anyone tried platinums and felt a change??

Don't do it. Stick with the NGKs. Platinum plugs are not recommended for the 910 engine. Most who have tried them have wound up switching back.

PLatinum plugs are not suitable to any turbocharged application. These are designed for long life, not performance. Stick with the NGKs.

everyone is correct. They will burn, NGK is the way to go. (use the correct NGK for your car)

In the event that NKG plugs are not available (as was my case the last tune up), Autolight seem to work okay...

You could try iridiums in your car. Iam running Denso Iridiums at the mo. I wa thinking of trying NGK's as they too also do iridiums. I haven't bought them for longer life. I will change them the same time as I would with normal. You can use a higher temperature (cooler plug). The other alternative is to do the same with your normal copper plug. Just replace the 6 for a 7 when ordering. This covers a higher temperature range. Iam running a higher temp range because Iam running a higher boost.
Now Iam just waiting for a certain person to reply to this and give me a telling off, you know who you are.
10, 9, 8, 7......

LOL!

NGK's can be found at NAPA, at least in my area. They also carry the air filters (from a Jag).

Also the NGk's can be found at most bike shops that cater to crotch rockets as they use the plugs too.

Keen has used many different types of plugs but found the NGk's last the longest. He told me some burn after only a few K. I have only used the NGK so I have very little personal experience with the others.

Stick with NGK. Ironically, I have a slew of them. Got a group buy together a while ago and EVERYONE backed out. Now I have 80 plugs I don't need. NGK BPR6EKN... the stock plug. If you want, let me know. I will sell them for the price I paid.

If you think you need to go to a colder plug, a good rule of thumb is that for every 75-100HP over stock output, go one range colder. Short of a new turbo AND race chip boost levels, I see no reason to go to a colder plug.

Holy cr*p, 80 plugs.
Even if you ran your car hard it would take 20+ years to use them. Maybe 30+ years.

Email me off line maybe I can help you sell some of them. My email link in in my profile.
