Hi All,
Last night, the Bay Area Esprit Group had a last minute get-together in San Francisco in honor of visiting TE member Lew from Colorado. There was actually a lot more people than this, but the pics were taken early when we first arrived.

Mine is the pearl white Commemorative.
The other two cars are my friend's white '93 1/2 SE and rare Winchester Blue '91 SE.
I'm one of the three guys in the picture. Regretfully, the supermodels had not arrived yet so they could not be in the picture.

Thanks for all the kind words. It's definitely been a fun Lotus time for me recently with the Lotus dinner in Chicago last week and the dinner here once I returned.
By the way, Lotus ACBC (Paul), where in the nation are you located? Just curious since I know clubmembers all over the nation. You really should hook up with a local club to see their cars and dine with them. I guarantee that it will inspire you to get your Esprit even sooner.

I am in Westchester NY. I went to the Javitz Center Auto Show and participated in the Lotus Club NY/NJ section. Everyone there was really was nice. I could have showed up on many gatherings, but I dont like to impose. Especially when its time for the drive, I dont want to feel like anyone has to have me for a passenger because I dont own one.

I second that! Some of the nicest Esprit I have seen anywhere. I am already a fan of Mark's blue one, and have spoken to him before. Nice to see a "pearly" in such nice condition, they all seem a bit yellow around the edges over here.
Incidentally Roy, I have a nice colour article from Motor Trend from the launch of the Anniversary edition. It is part of a collection I will eventually (God and 3 kids/1 wife/1 dog permitting) be sending to Kato to put onto the Esprit World website. If you haven't already got this issue, and can't wait I can send you it directly, as I have recently mastered my scanner. Give me your email off list if necassary.

Yes, Mark, I would love it if you could send that to me. My e-mail address is princecharming808@yahoo.com. Silly address, but all the others were taken years ago when I first signed up with Yahoo. Nickname came from past girlfriends who said that I was always very charming after a couple glasses of wine. LOL!
Paul, do you know Tony Grasso? He's in your area. Black '89 non-SE Esprit. He had quite a website up awhile ago. Showed how he did all kinds of mods like putting on a S4S/V8 wing (I did that to my first yellow Esprit), adding V8 side skirts and front bumper, Stebro exhaust, OZ wheels, etc. Nice guy and very capable in the garage.
You should never feel like you're imposing by attending events and runs. Most Lotus people I know are more than happy to take along a new person as a passenger on their runs during group get-togethers.
If you or anyone else from this forum is out in the San Francisco bay area, let me know in advance and I'll get a group of Esprits together for you in your honor.
