Wheels+Tires worth?
Discussion
I am going to upgrade my OEM wheels to some 17" aftermarkets (among other things). Now, I'm not sure if I want to keep the OEMs for any reason, as I plan on changing the car so much it won't matter to most.
Anyone know what a set of perfect 15" esprit OZ wheels plus brand new Pirelli tires are worth? I'll stick them up on ebay and hope for the best I guess LOL

I'd keep the wheels as a bargaining tool for when you come to sell the car. You may end up dealing with an originality freak.
I would take the tyres off. They are probably a lot easier to sell separately.
Cheers
Pat.
Good luck in finding a wheel that fits!!! Ive got some 19" O.Z antares for mine......but they dont fit.
There mercedes fitment, so ive got a company to make me some 30mm spacers with Merc PCD on the outer face with flush fitting bolts on a lotus PCD on the hub face. They should be with me by this time next week ill post some pics for all to see.

For my S4, I have 19x10 and 18x8. The ride is perfect and the looks are great. Handling is just as good as 17 and 18 so I decided to up the size just to see if there was a difference. For wheels, I chose HRE and gave them all my dimensions for my requirements. The result, a massive 4inch lip on the rears. Check my pics in LEW

Hi Dindo, if you dont mind me asking, what model HRE wheel are they, am thinking of getting some myself. Also what price range am I looking at for these? Going off the HRE website they are a little expensive but I really like them over most other makes. Of course they would have to be polished and custom made Lotus centre caps added.
Cheers

Hey Roy and Kylie,
Yes Roy, that was me! My wife and I sure had alot of fun. Wished I could have drank more but I wanted to show my wife the area since I was a graduate of Cal Poly SLO.
Kylie, the model I have is the 447R 19x10 rear 18x8 front. If you talk with them, talk to John Wallace. He was great in helping me build this custom set. The offsets are in there data base which they got from me. I can't find my paperwork, but just e-mail them and they will give you the scoop. Unfortunately, the cost is quite high but it is worth it. I am a dealer that can sell the wheels to anyone, but to send to australia could pose some problems for me to service since you are so far. I want to give all my customers great service, but in the situation you are in, it would be best to speak with them personally.
For the note: HRE has come up with a new line called the C2 racing series. These wheels are 4-5 pounds lighter but only avail in 17-18. Oh well, I may pass on those. I think the larger 19 center may flex too much so they decided it was not appropriate. The centers are thinner in cross section, use less fasteners, and have machine cutouts for maximum weight loss without strength loss.
Hope this helps. Roy, will you be gathering for the LA Auto show. If so,e may meet again.

Hello Dindo!
Excellent! I thought it was you! Great to see you in here.
Yes, our north meets south gathering in San Luis Obispo, CA was a fun one. Wow, that was wild! Can't believe our large and wild group was actually served dinner since everyone was having so much liquid fun!
Definitely hoping to make it to the upcoming LA show. Should know for sure if I can make it soon.
By the way, the West Coast Lotus Meet will be in South Lake Tahoe in May 2004. This is definitely one that you won't want to miss!
Kylie, I'm sure Dindo gives good advice. I've seen his car in person and everything he does is first class! Amazing.
