I saw this on Dupont and had to share. Silver is one of my *least* favorite colors, actually, but this car blew me away.

Can V8 arches be *easily* added to any S4?

Wow...

Thats a great looking car.. wheels look like 'speedline's rather than OZ but i might be wrong.

Luke - you *can* add v8 flares to an earlier car but i believe its not just a bolt-on mod.

cheers
Rob

ps - silver is the best colour for an esprit IMO, but then you probably guessed that already

Its not a bad color, it's just that I bet 25% of cars here in the US are silver or grey.

It's 50% in the UK !! Infact, my other car is silver, so taking me as a sample, 50% is correct !

Silver is my favorite Esprit color. It was the first color I saw an Esprit in and it is the color of the one I bought. The problem with silver is that it doesn't look as good in pictures as it does in person. The best part about silver is that from 10 feet or more it looks super clean, even if you just got back from driving through a dust storm.

Pardon me for joining the silver love-fest, but as an owner of a 1993 Frost Silver SE, I just have to say that I agree that this is one of the best colors for Esprits. The flecks in the Esprit silver paint are really nice and the color is rich and deep. It suits me perfectly, and it looks great even when it hasn't had a bath for a while.

About the only color I'd rather have is Azure Blue. That one leaves me breathless every time.

Karmavore, where in GA are you located? You'll often see my baby on 285 and 400, I drive it all the time.

Jay - trust me - you cannot do the "no bath trick" with the Azure...

I live 5 minutes outside of Decatur and unfortunately travel on 400 & 285 every day, some days in my C5 and some days in my Esprit. I commute to Alpharetta. They moved the office for my company from downtown to the 'burbs, but I LOVE where I live and I love my job, so nothing's changing.

The wheel arches do bolt on but require some mods to the body. The "seam" line that runs around the car must be sanded down as the arch does not go over it. That, and drilling a few holes, is all you need other than paint...

thanks Tpup. Does sanding need to occur in the front and back? I wonder if you could notch out the arches instead as not to permanently alter the body.

You could try the notch thing, but there is also a back rubber gasket that does not have the strongest adhesive in the world. The weekest point for the gasket is when it has to follow the lines of that seam...

I can't believe anyone would willingly add those arch extensions...

And pearl white is the best colour for an Esprit...

I used to think so too, but I really like how that silver s4 above looks.

Hi I think the Esprits look fantastic in most colours, but if I had to put in order, it would go something like this:

Azure - simply stunning
Red - Looks like a fast colour and glows
Black (I actually love black cars when they are mint clean with fresh paint against shiny rims, but tends to hide the bold shape of the car, small scratches and stone chips stand out badly.
Yellow - bright and attractive
Silver - sporty and elegant

Not so keen on:
White
Mustard
Orange
Purple
Green
Brown
Bronze

You lot have listed most of the colours Lotus does!

It is meant to be a short list!

If I had to make my list even shorter:

1. Met Black
2. Pearl White

that s4 is awesome. It looks like a spaceship even to an esprit owner!
