Does anyone know of a replacement for the "engine management & heater control vacuum pump" on my 1992 SE, or can they be reconditioned ?

Apparently they are becoming tired, or burnt out and are now obsolete . They were manufactured by "halo ? " , probably under license for GM ( but the GM part no` , no longer relates ) , in America .

Sorry if this subject has already been covered ( I haven`t seen it), but I`m desperate for my heater etc to work properly .

Hi,

It's a NAPA replacement part # 64-1006, direct replacement about $120-$130. Happy Motoring!...Jim'85TE

Thankyou Jim ,

Now , forgive my ignorance , what is this NAPA and is there a UK outlet ?

Also , have you fitted one to your car and would it be easy for me to do ? I assume the voltage , it`s regulator and physical size etc., are "like for like" ?

Yours optimistically ,
