Was just wondering what sort of boost some of you run on your esprit, Im yet to install a decent boost gauge but want to get it set up with water injection at about 18-20psi. Going up NEC saturday to have a look around and speak to ERL about a Water injection kit.

Slightly off topic. Make it Sunday as 9 Esprits are going (most from London area).

Kev,

You will not be able to run more than 1.25 bar (18 psi) with the stock ECU and MAP sensor. The 4 cylinder cars (SE, S4, S4s, GT3) all have 2 bar map sensors and the ECU is hard wired to give a max 1.25 bar even with the race code in the memcal (which I run ).

If you change to a GM 3 bar map sensor, the voltage calibration will out in the ECU. However, I am working on a possble fix for this.

I do not get any knock at 1.25 bar and have excellent inlet temps at full boost, so water injection would actually loose me power.

Ok.. same question for the S3 turbo with the blow-thru dellortos and clockwork ignition. How much boost has been tried and what tuning upgrades are required?

Cheers dermot, apparently my car has a 300bhp chip in it? when I got the car the bloke handed me two chips and said that they where the old ones and that the 300bhp chip was installed. I had it rolling roaded a few weeks back and it made 263bhp at the flywheel. It had a blowing back box at the time, which probley dont matter.
Im looking for around 300bhp from the car, what would you suggest?

Kev,

I am not sure what Esprit you own and apart from this chip I don't know what other mods are currently on the car.

By the way why do you have two spare chips, they cannot have both come out of the ECU.

Did the previous owner say where the "300 hp"chip came from ? I know of all the commercially available re-chips and none are called "300 hp".

I have a turbo non Se and want to cool her down a bit. Iam looking at water injection. Here's another system which is cheaper than aquamist.
www.noswizard.com/water.php

They are about £300 ish for their system.

Cheers,
