I have been trying to find out about the Esprits development and successes in racing. Where can one go to talk to or read about those who have "been there" and "done that"?
Truly, racing is the place to really find out about a cars performance and tuning. Much can be learned...

Andy Reeves races an S2 Esprit, Nic Olson still has his very nice S3 (Nat asp) and I believe Richard Jenvey still has his monster Group 5 machine that he keeps threatening to bring out of retirement. ALL UK cars, possibly only Andy is currently racing.

Andy Reeves lives in Worcestershire - he runs a 2.0L S2 esprit in the 750 sports car club series. It's dry sumped and runs on carbs I believe.

Nic Olson is a former employeee of Lotus GT1 racing - now at AP, he has an S3 NA car which is beautifully prepared and he also has George Howard-Chappels old SE race car - George used to run Lotus GT1 racing and now heads up the GT section of Prodrive. As you can imagine George's car pretty much swept all before it when he raced it in the Mid 90's.

Richard Jenvey campaigned his 2.0l car with factory support in the late 70's - it had a Hewland box and a 270hp 2.0L engine that could touch 10,000 rpm. Richard is now possibly the worlds most successful supplier of aftermarket Fuel injection throttle bodies.

It says for 2004 the #7 Garrett Esprit V8 will be racing in the Grand Am; my question is, is this type of footage going to be aired on TV or what? I would like to keep track of this, how might I be able to?

Andy Reeves isn't an email man, but I guess Richard Jenvery should be reachable via his website www.jenveydynamics.co.uk - I think. Just search for throttle bodies and you'll find him.
