Thought it was about time!

My partner told me there was a thread, not so long back about women driving Lotus Esprit's - so I thought I would introduce myself and find out about other female driving experiences.
I love and I MEAN LOVE driving the esprit.
Best purchase we ever made - just slighlty above the Sylva Pheonix as it has no roof or windscreen!
I am still after 6 months slightly overwhealmed by the driving experience and it's certainly not - a put key in and drive car - more checks than a 747!
My funniest moment was realsising that I would have to be the one to drive to drive the car home 60 miles when we purchased it - especially seeing the guy we brough it from amazement when I got in the driving seat - then chasing me down the road for 600 meters because I still had the handbrake on!
A problem that still plages me today! Is the bloody thing off or not - I now stop in lay-bys just to check!
I always suffer from the white knuckle experience and being only 5 foot 4 it's a supprisingly large motor!
Lots more experinces to follow but if any other girls are out there (apart from Kylie - great guns!) in the UK - share some stories?

Hi Kay welcome, arrrhh so you have been drugged too These cars are very addictive.

I was always very particular about the handbrake as Simon (the other half) gave me strict lessons on how to use it properly before I got in it, so was sorted. I can only just reach it without head butting myself on the steering wheel...done it . I am 172cm tall so I fit pretty well.

Are you getting any brake light signal? It could be that your brake light is not working all the time? As soon as you take the brake off the red light should dissappear and come on when brake applied.
