Hi all,
i broke my Lotus sport exhaust today (again!)
Is there any users of the PUK sport exhaust here?
Is it really better than the Lotus one?

Cheers,

John.

John, i have the puk/moto-concept system on my car. Its a much nicer noise than the lotus sports exhaust but it still sounds like a 'lotus' rather than completely changing the sound of the car. There are a couple of short clips on the puk site of my car..

Quality is better than lotus systems, although i did have a problem with the tailpipes on mine this was rectified free of charge.

Its more money than a lotus sports exhaust, and much more than straight pipes. Tubi system looks fantastic but is even more expensive. Your cheapest option is to have the broken sports exhaust welded, and get a local shop to fit you up some nicer tail pipes

Some pics and some text about exhausts on my owners page on LEW.

Cheers
Rob

hey ernie - have you got any movie clips of the tubi yet?

Tailpipe trim came loose and was rattling/rotating. I sent the system back to the guys in germany and they re-fitted it, plus re-painted the box, and sent it back to me.

John - just looked in your profile. If yours is a 2002 i'd get a replacement sports exhaust under warranty, in fact just keep taking them back every time they break until your warranty runs out When you're out of warranty THEN look at upgrades.. just my 02p etc.

You're right Rob but i think the Lotus sport exhaust is only one year warranty and i put it on 21/01/03.
Maybe i'll get a new one from the factory but after 10000 km i'm shure it will be broken again.
For the moment i put my straight pipes on, that's not a gift for my neighbor ;o)

Cheers,

John.

John -

Maybe see if they will give you the US version with central exit? They can throw in the CheeseGrater rear as well (IMHO the 2004 version with squares looks nicer)... Just a thought...

My 88' came with the 3 inch Tubi . Sounds great, but it is not cheap that's for sure. I was just lucky enough to get a car with it already installed...

Drive topless!!!
