alternator repair

Anyone know who to send these valeo alternators to be fixed. quit charging. best place to buy a new one? Thanks.

I have a local shop in Minneapolis and it cost me $40 to have it redone. The Valeo is found in many cars including VW and can be repaired locally in most cases. One thing is when first took it to a local auto shop and they found out if was from an Esprit they tries to charge me $180. The second place AB electric where a friend suggested I take it to only charged me $40, also it was in by 11am and out by 3:30pm. An auto electric shop that does foreign makes can do it.
