Chaps I'm looking for a possible change for my S2 Elise and after some researching and one very disappointing test drive (see Elise forum if interested) I'm considering moving up to big brother Esprit, subject to Mrs CVPs' agreement.

I'm pretty decided on a GT3 as my preferred model and think I'll be able to cope with the running costs (I'm working on about GBP2k per year for maintenance on about 9k miles pa).

Quick question do you know any good reliable second hand Espirt experts. I'm based down in London and have found Barry Ely's over in East London. He has a GT3 for £24k with only 9.5k miles on it. I am a bit wary of one with such low miles as I'm usually in favour of keeping a car regualrly used to keep all system working regularly. Is Barry any good or any alternative recommendations?

In recognition of Ted's naming and shaming policy if you want to pass on any warnings of who not to deal with please email me through my profile.

All advice gratefully received.

And on Autotrader too, the market seems to be waking up slowly after the Christmas lull. Be careful about which dealer you choose too, there are some warning tales on the forums if you search or email me offline for the few I can recall. Moderated: No finger pointing here please

Sorry, tried to keep it as anonymous as possible, but when I see the the offending specialist start publishing glowing testimonials on his own site promising outstanding levels of customer care (that in my case I know were not evenly applied) I feel the need to counterbalance. There is also a stated guaruntee that you will not be disappointed, which is obviously not worth the cyberspace its written on.
This is the end of any comments on this site, but if I receive any more personal emails from the culprits and I ever find the time to create my own site (without the vested interests) the gruesome tale will be told. It only took them 1 hour 55 minutes to reply too; perhaps if they had shown the same commitment to communication then it would not all have ended in acrimony.

There is a nice Chrome Orange (Yuk) GT3 with 41K on Autotrader for £15995 private sale. log onto Autotrader and register. once you have doen this then you can do a national search for any car. There isn't much else on there besides this one.
There is also an S4s for sale for £14K but it needs some work so Iam led to believe. That's in London but it may end up costing you lots to maintain an S4s.
If you want any details on this car then I will post off the forum as it's only fair to the person who's selling it not to make judgements publically.

Cheers,
