Anyone know if theres ever been a Giugiaro Sports exhaust made to buy? The standard sounds good but I want more 'snap, crackle and pop!'!!!!
I'm sure I once heard a dealer in southern England made one?

I bought a stainless steel silencer from SJS to replace my rusty standard box.

Very nicely made, only a bit noisier than standard. Makes a nice deeper note, but certainly not loud. Spits and pops nicely on the overrun.

Fitted a treat, but is about an inch smaller in diameter, which means that the straps will need a bit of fettling.

Recommended.

I fitted the SS 'box too, twice. They both sounded better but one sounded better than the other, guess that was just luck. Go for it.

It never fails to baffle me though, that when we spend many ££,£££'s or $$,$$$'s on proper out and out sportscars, That a 'sports' exhaust is an add-on!

Always seems like a big con to me. I can understand that the buyer of say,a BMW,might not go for the sports exhaust on his sporty day commuter. But when i see cars such as Esprits and ferrari's being offered 'sports' exhausts, i wonder what the standard fit was classed as being.

Will probably find that the factory Esprit 'box was sourced from an old leyland tractor....

Sports Exhaust are add-ons, because regulation restrict noise and emissions on new vehicles. Once sold, the manufacturers can sell aftermarket products that don't have to meet the regulations of those on new cars.

I'm afraid their hands are tied by the do-gooders!

Crazy people!

The extra exhaust noise would alert the local rabbits and deer to my approach, thus saving their furry little butts.
Coughing in my wake is a small price for them to pay.

Nanny state indeed!

I had a custom one made up 100% in stainless steel. The price wasnt that bad.

As it had a 3" pipe it was difficult to arrange the two input pipes, see pics on my website at invenair.com
