What wheels (including after-market) do you think look best on a S3?

Any pics?

I'm currently thinking of trying to get hold of a set of Essex/early turbo (split rim) wheels, I guess BBS don't make these anymore, so does anybody have any? Were these 16"?

I (with the help of others) have compiled some wheel information for the S3/TE at http://esprit.driestone.com/index.php/Esprit/Wheels

I have fitted a set of Azev 'A' to my S3.

16" front, 17" rear.

Have a look at my page on LEW (www.lotusespritworld.co.uk/EOwners/Hill.html)

The Essex split rims were made, I think, by Compromotive. They were 15".

These rims were also a 4 bolt wheel, so won't fit on your S3 unless it has the early 4 bolt hubs.

Most S3s have a 5 bolt hub. The BBS cross spoke wheels fitted to the later S3 Turbos look similar to the Essex rims, but are a one piece wheel with a 5 bolt pattern. They are also 15". The BBS front rims are all but unobtainable new.

In my opinion, the Speedline wheels fitted to the S2 are the nicest wheel by far, but I have strange tastes.
