Oil catch tank

Hey Kato,
How's about a hint: Where did you mount the thing? This is about the tightest engine compartment I have ever experienced.
Dr.Hess
I mounted one to the bottom edge of the passenger side panel just under the airbox, fairly close to the firewall and radiator crossover pipe The bottom of the canister sits just above the frame rail, so I had to cut off an unused stud sticking up from the frame rail. Here's a photo:
It's a bit inconvenient, as currently I have to remove the airbox and the catch can to drain it, but it certainly seems to be catching some oil. I plan to add a remote drain pipe.
Cheers,
Sanj
Looks nice, Sanj. Nice clean engine too. I live on 1/2 mile of dirt road.
If you run a drain tube to a windshield washer pump then to a little nozzle at the back, with a switch on the dash labeled "Oil Slick," it would work out pretty well for those times when an '82 Chebby is right on your tail at 75MPH.

Space isn't really an issue - the original engine has been replaced by a V8 Rover lump, it won't fit under the cover so the whole boot has been pretty much dedicated to it!
This is why I am confused as where bits should go as it is not obvious - I think the catch tank could fit in the space behind the passenger side rear window. I assume this wont't be too high - it will be higher than the rocker cover.
