Inner cylinders no fuel
Discussion
Something wierd happened to me today. Went out for lunch everything was grand but when we left the resturant and started the car it was running strange. Bad vibration and zero power. Idle felt a little lumpy but not bad. I pulled off each plug wire to feel for a change in rhythm and found that when the inner 2 wires were off it made no change. Immediately checked for spark and there is plenty. I'm thinking fuel trouble because niether plug were fouled, but why would the outer 2 cylinders being getting gas ?
Anyone have a guess to my problem ?

You didn't mention what year, but assuming a SE:
Because 1 and 4 fire together, and 2 and 3 fire together. There is a black/pink wire from the ECM, jack 1 pin C10 that goes to #2 and #3 via a splice called Splice B, then to a ground. My guess is:
1. A black/pink broken wire/bad connector between the ECM and Splice B
2. Bad injector driver in the ECM.
Most likely #1.

If you have already fixed the problem from the suggestion, great. Please give us the details. This my happen to us one day. But you did not give much for us to chew on. When my '89 non-SE had a similar problem irratic RPM, no power, could not get it home(had to have it towed home) it required replacing the ECU box.
So did you make it home or what? There is no check engine code for bad ECU.

I had the same problem on my 89 SE although it was intermittent.
When it occurred the ECU presented me with a 'current too low' fault for this circuit. After eliminating all the wiring I ended up with a new ECU and that solved it.
My old ECU also had trouble maintaining constant idle rpm. If your interested you will see some posts on this through my profile.
