simple things....... grrr.. window slider

there is a track on the bottom of the window, in it are 2 sliders that attach to the ball joint end of the arms that lower the window...
so simple,, but
I can get the slider into the track, but when it is in there I cant get it to snap onto the ball.. it needs to flex a bit. If I snap it onto the ball then it wont reach the end of the track to slide it in place...
How much do i need to take the thing apart? Am i missing anything? any tricks out there?

If I unbolt the window frame, I may be able to remove the glass and then go from there.... Does the window frame come apart easily?

or do I pry the bottom track off the glass?

by the way my little plastic slider broke and I just got the new one.. forgot to mention this..

Bruce, you don't need to take anything else apart. Slide the nylon slider into the track and then snap the ball (takes a bit of force) onto the slider. The arm with the ball end should reach with no problems.

well i was pushing as hard as I dared by hand, i could not make it pop in,
I went a got a pair of channel locks and bingo it popped in.

anyway with my nose so close to that window i noticed the weather strip along the top of the glass is all jammed in the wrong way. It probably needs replacing
anyone have a parts door with a good window gasket?
