Well, my subject kind of says it all. But just in case you didn't get it....

ARHGGHGHGHGHGGHGHGHHHHHH

It's utterly rubbish - like most of Goodwood's online systems. I've spent the last hour trying to choose start line grandstand seats without success (on three different web-browsers on two different PC's). I have no idea which seats I've chosen and I go to logon and get "Member details could not be retrieved64". Awesome error message Goodwood!

Even more stupid... If you look at the seat availability in Google Chrome it tells you there are about 8 seats available. Using FF or IE there are approx 50 seats available in each grandstand.

  • Gives up and goes for a cry in the corner*

That's strange, because I have always assumed startline grandstand seats sell out almost as soon as they go on sale in November.

I had to sacrifice a chicken and pray to the internet gods to get past this error

But unfortunately I can't show you the error with the seats remaining being different on two different web browsers as they both now show...

It still won't let me log on properly though and when I do "sort of" logon I can't view the shopping basket any more as the link doesn't work.

I've tried again after getting over the shock of the awesome Grand Prix, this time trying the Woodcote stand as it gives you the option of choosing seats on that grandstand (implying that seats are available). Unfortunately though it's just mocking you as all the seats there are actually sold out. And if you try to click on the "Go Back" button then it's no longer a link FFS.

This nearly beats the time a few years ago where I bought 8 tickets to the Revival and was given 8 tickets to the FoS instead... which I didn't realise until the weekend of the Revival. Oh how we laughed at that one. |-:

I do hope someone official is watching.

(Edited to add that I wasn't getting my Saturday and Sundays mixed up.. I double checked and Mrs Cloudzilla did the same)

I wasn't impressed with the FoS booking either. It left me wondering whether I'd actually bought the tickets or not. I then got an email saying 'thanks for booking, etc' but even that didn't tell what I'd actually just purchased.
Rubbish. Sort it out Goodwood.

I rang up to order the tickets to avoid the hateful system today - lady answers the phone.. "hello", "erm hello is this Goodwood?", "yes, sorry there's a queue for tickets of around 10-15 minutes, do you want to wait?" "oh, ok...".... then nothing.

10 minutes later, got bored, hung up.

My fault for leaving it so late but seriously! argh. I'm sure there has to be a way of keeping customers happy.. taking details and calling back? recommending times to call back when it's less busy? Goodwood is an expensive hobby!!

idea To make up for it, how about giving me a free upgrade to the Kinara enclosure clap
