2011 Revival...any campers?
Discussion
Hi folks,
Team Rose (what the old man and i are calling it haha) are off on the annual goodwood revival trip.
We booked our tickets online (hope it bloody worked!) and we are camping this year, Folks are taking a family friends VW camper thing (modern one, not a split screen unfortunately
)
The Girlfriend and i are flying from Abz to Gatwick and geting picked up, she was sort of inducted into the idea very quickly, as we have only been going out 6 weeks haha, but she loves the idea of the dressing up and camping
she is a keeper lol.
Anyone camped at the site before, we usually get a local travelodge but wanted to do it diff this year, where is the campsite locate, is it near the Lavant grandstand or elsewhere?
Oh and are there any local pubs etc for evening meals?
Just curious.
Hope the Vulcan comes again, as it was epic last year!!

In terms of pubs, I'd recommend four...
The Fox Goes Free - everything from fish and chips to duck, with a lovely garden overlooking the south downs. Excellent beers
The Royal Oak in Lavant - a bit posher here but very nice food, very good beers
The Earl of March in Lavant - good food, nice selection of fish
Very close to Goodwood House is the Richmond Arms. I've not eaten there for years though, but it's close (-:
Have a great time, I've got to start deciding what to wear this year soon

Many thanks,
Will have a google of them, walking distance would be great as i may enjoy a few sherbets with the good lady before retiring hehe.
I am in 2 minds about either going as a biker (because i am one haha) or RAF dress blues i saw on e-bay. The GF seems very keen on the idea of me in the uniform hehehe!
