Car park exit heading East.......
Discussion
So who headed out this way then?
Did they still have the same set up on Saturday as they did Friday.
Monumentally daft. 2 lanes of traffic heading out. Everyone sorting themselves out about 200 yds before the junction to turn left or right (getting in the corresponding lanes) only to find that the put it back to ONE lane!!!!!
C'mon Goodwood, that was a bit of a daft idea that one.
And also, to the guy who thought it was a good idea to sit with his finger on his horn every 30 secs and shout COME ON!!!! at the top of his voice while he was sitting in the queue. Do me a favour and shut up.
You were disturbing the nice cup of tea I was enjoying while you were getting all angry in the queue. I could hear you from the other side of the car park!

Yes, 'twas the same on Saturday. I was one of the ones in the right lane! As you say, total nonsense as it was a one way system, and they could have had a left and right turn at the end, just like a real one way street..... and why did they need a traffic light at the end??? Just let the traffic flow guys, it always works better.
Yeah we waited for the bulk of the queue to go before we left.
The traffic light was controlling the cars already out on the road and was why it all stopped dead once every few minutes, to left the general public carry on their merry way.
Still, they managed to get a lot of cars out very quickly. Just think they could have done it a little quicker still.

Funny ennit. We left on Friday at about 4pm after the Red Arrows - out of the car park heading west no-one in front of us. Down to the roundabout near the circuit, turn right north towards Singleton, no-one in front of us, caught 2 cars on the hill one turned right at the main road towards Midhurst the other one and us turned left. After 5 minutes we were 2 miles away doing a steady 70 towards Petersfield - piece of cake.
I heard the t
ts sounding their horns Friday, and those who just make a beeline straight to the exit and push in. Took us about an hour to get out the carpark in the end. However it was a good test to prove to myself that my TVR does not overheat!
I would go so far as to say that it spoilt an otherwise great day, and would maybe affect my decision to return next year after having attended the event since the 90s. The north carpark does not seem to suffer in the same way which I was in 2 years ago.
