2010 Goodwood dates confirmed
Discussion
Glad you confirmed FoS being then - we've already booked our trip to Classic Le Mans on the Tuesday after...Really excited about both events, as always. At last year's FoS, Neville Hay mooted the return of a pre-war AU/MB to racing at some point soon. There was supposed to be a C-Type and an W25 at last year' Monaco Historique, but neither materialised. Any chance of either turning in an appearance at the Revival?

A question.
I'm not bothering with le mans this year and plan to go to the FOS instead. Do I really need grandstand tickets for all 3 days? I've not been to Goodwood before so advice would be appreciated.
The quick answer is that you do not need Grandstand seats at all at the Festival of Speed.I'm not bothering with le mans this year and plan to go to the FOS instead. Do I really need grandstand tickets for all 3 days? I've not been to Goodwood before so advice would be appreciated.
I've never bothered with grandstands in 8 years, there is far to much to do and see without just sitting in one place. There are some free grandstands if you need a place to sit- though these are not in the 'best' places. This year we sat for an hour or two in one of the free stands and had a great view. Basically my weekend is organised thus- Friday in the Style et lux, cathedral and F1 paddocks, saturday morning watch everything going up the hill then to the rally stage for the afternoon, sunday in the F1 paddock, a little autograph hunting and then finish up looking at anything else I've missed. It can be hard on the feet and if its wet becomes a bit of a mudbath but hey its the festival and once you've been you will be hooked!

Please ensure the Revival is at least as good as '09, as we missed it!
Happy New Year & have fun with all the prep!
Cheers,
C.
I didnt know about the quattro anniversary, Audi already had thier 100 year celebration last year but hope they will bring back some of their machines again. Last year was my first visit and as it got close I was sorta thinking, "why did I book 3 days, thats gonna be way too long".
How wrong was I. I barely covered every single corner in two days and spent the third day watching everything going up the hill, and looking at photos on the web and forums after there was still stuff I missed!
Cant wait for this years festival!

I know I won't see anywhere near the whole show in just one day, but I don't expect to get a passout for more than one day and don't want to take more holiday than necessary.
So considered opinion seems to be that the Saturday is best day, if one can only go for one day?
