Never been to the FoS before & have just received a couple of tickets via the Daily Mail for the Thursday Moving Vehicle Show.

I havent got a clue what to expect so can anyone give me an idea? Have to be honest & admit to wishing i had bought some tickets for the FoS weekend.

I gather they are all sold out so anyone got a spare ticket for the friday that they dont want?

If not i'm off to ebay!!!

By all means try eBay for tickets, sometimes bargains available, but don't pay more than face value as tickets are still available through the Goodwood website.
You can pay online right up to the day before and pickup on the gate if you need to.
If you go Thursday, you'll only regret not going over the weekend and not seeing the action on the hill.

Absolutely try and get tickets for Friday or the weekend. You'll find that the new cars being demod at the Motor Show will seem very dull vs the out and out racers from years gone by being driven hard. The noise of the old sports, F1, stuff is fantastic. Not forgeting current F1 stuff either !

Must concur - the supercars are a sidebar compared to seeing huge chunks of motor racing history laid bare and paraded in front of the house.

get there early. Gates usually open around 7 and there will be lots of people there by that time.

Goodwood is just off the A27 which is busy at the best of times but as long as you get there early and either leave early or stay late (to miss the crowds) traffic can be not too bad.

Just one final thing - The FoS is not at the circuit but at the house about a mile away. It won't make much difference in terms of gettign there because there'll be loads of signage from miles out and lots of traffic marshalls to direct you too.

Hope you have a good day and if you're around over the weekend, might see you around (among the 150,000)

Does a General Admission ticket get you into the paddock? If not: which ticket do you require to get into the paddock?

What's the cheapest way of getting in Saturday & Sunday - is it the £50 per day for the General Admission ticket?

Yup - general admission gets you access to all the paddocks as well as the free grandstands. Best views can be had by waiting for each batch of cars to finish their runs, people then move away from the track and you take their place and wait for the next batch of cars. Doesn't always work with the Supercars and F1 as people tend to hang around for those!
Plenty of big screens around as well if you want to kick back and relax for a bit too.
£50 ticket is cheapest for Saturday and Sunday, or if you go all three days Goodwood website will give you a free Friday ticket if you buy all three days.
