Exactly what period in time does the uniform in the first picture come from? It looks very Buck Rogers to me........................

I was thinking more Christina Aguilera. Just another reason I didn't bother this year.

Yep, aware of that and it's something I gave a lot of thought to.
Went last year and just felt the whole nostalgia bit is starting to get a bit tiresome now with people more interested in who's got the best hat and most matchiest outfits.
Even overheard the comment: "Yeah and apparently they do some old motor racing later too"
I know there's the argument that says just ignore all that, and I'd agree....just go watch some classic racing elsewhere and avoid £7.50 burgers in to the bargain!

And she isn't "stunning". She's ok, wearing lots of make up, dressed very well and photographed in good light.
I do like the one of the marshals pushing the car out though.

Wow, you didn't come to the Revival because (amongst other reasons) some people weren't wearing outfits that you approval of. Some of my family regularly attend the event for the sole reason that they love the nostalgia and the outfits, they couldn't give two hoots about the car racing. I bet that makes you want to sit in a dark room muttering to yourself and sharpening your knife!

Events like this should be inclusive, not about people coming up with reasons why they think everything is being ruined because others aren't wearing overalls and rubbing themselves down with 1950's engine oil.

Well yes, it was "amongst" many many other slightly more important reasons to which you are not privy. It was not an exclusive reason not to go so get down off your horse. Your little rant at me is no more or less fanatical than my view of the pantomime that Revival has become so shall we say "hypocrite" and call it quits?
And I never said I didn't approve of Christina's outfit, just that I find it a little trite and was the last link in the "Shall I/Shan't I?" chain.

Anyway, back to the photos......

Nice pic Dave.

Just for info this shows Eddy Perk just before he went out. Car is a 1960 Heron F1 of South African origin with Alfa power. Got bumped to back of the grid due to a stall on the green flag lap. This got his dander up a bit and managed to drive through the field to get a class win. I was lucky enough to be spannering on this car. My first time at Goodwood and what an amazing event. thumbup

BTW love pic 2.....

AAGGHH - snapped over 500 pictures today, just downloaded them to decide which ones were good enough to post up and discovered I have a dirty sensor furious

Managed to get some great motion shots but they are totally ruined by specs of dust all over the sensor. Might have a go at photoshopping some of the better ones later this week if I get a chance then post them up. Regardless of the dust issues I thought that I would share a couple of shots that tell a story;
