Another fantastic weekend
Discussion
Only the second time I've done all 3 days - happy but cream crackered this morning
Highlights:
Seeing Il Grande John received with so much affection and respect and how much time he devoted to the fans wanting photos and signatures -write to your MPs and demand that he's knighted
All things BRM including Richard Attwood's win in the Glover Trophy
Martin Brundle forcing his way into 2nd place at Lavant (where I was watching) in the St Mary's Trophy -shame about the puncture.
Tom Kristenson's style on and off the track
The Singleton approval area ( I was very much approved on Friday when not driving a little less so on Sat and Sun
Very moving words of Cannon W each morning and the response of the crowd to the veterans parade.
So much more but superlatives fail me
It isn't perfect but the ointment is such high quality that I can put up with the flies.
Photos on Flickr link later in the week

I did the three days too:
Highlights:
- Winning a prizedraw to ride in the Ford GT40 pacecar
- Only having the family in tow for a few hours on Sunday afternoon
- Doing my charity bit from 7-9am, leaving the rest of the day to myself
- Using the ‘Charity’ armband to get pit access
- The Allard driver who on getting out after the race told me “It’s a real man’s car – and I don’t think I’m man enough”
- Meeting the mates of Jim Richards who told me they’d come from Oz to see their mate racing
- Early morning rides to the event in an open face helmet
- Leaving on the bike without any traffic problems whatsoever (leaving thousands of cars waiting in queues
)
- The bacon sarnie early on Saturday provided by some fellow volunteers (after I’d had to go to Sainsbury’s to get the baps)
- The flying display on Saturday evening after the crowds had gone
- The effort some of the women had gone to in their outfits. Stunning.
- The racing.
Lowlights
- Not actually getting to go in the GT40 as Goodwood gave ‘my’ ride to a sponsor
- Missing the TT race as I had the family in tow
- All the muppets who bring their bloody folding chairs and put them in the best viewing spots then bugger off
- Some over-robust driving by the usual suspects (P. Watts, R Davis)
- Ignorant muppets trying to display their ‘knowledge’ by loudly telling a more ignorant companion about the cars (just because its red doesn’t mean it’s a Ferrari, muppet)
- Lord M's tone deaf sister (again). Does she have some photo's of him or something?
- It had to end sometime

I took this photo of the folding chairs on the Saturday morning, at Madgewicks Corner.....- Lord M's tone deaf sister (again). Does she have some photo's of him or something?
Redarding Lord M's sister..... Well she is awful and makes me laugh. In a warped kind of way. If she didn't sing at the Revival on the Sunday. I would kinda miss it.
All three days for me again this year...up at 5am and back home after 8pm. Feeling the effects today- but relishing the prospect of three (again) days at Spa for the 6 hours race this weekend.
Highlight for me this year (and there were so many good things again)...The St Mary's Trophy and specifically Grant Williams in the Mark 1 Jag sideways on every lap as he came through the chicane onto the Start/ Finish straight. Absolutely fantastic.

really great weekend GRant Williams awesome can see he works in the tyre trade!
As for LM sister, i was just by the grandstand on start straight standing next to bloke and his son who was about 5.so the singing starts and after the first line the boy reaches down and grabs his Ferrari ear defenders and put them on...funny as hell.

That is seriously out of order. I do hope you get something else to make up for you losing that. I would have been very pissed off.Highlights:

We had another great time at the Revival at the weekend. I never fail to be astounded at the sheer hard work that goes in to the event.
Regarding Lord March's sister, given that he provides us all with such a wonderful spectacle, I say that if he wants his sister to sing then she can. It's a small burden for us to bear in exchange for such a wonderful occasion.
We made our way home yesterday, after a leisurely drive through some wonderful countryside, nice and sunny, roof down, excellent route courtesy of Tom Tom's shortest route facility.
Judging by the number of 'Goodwood cars' we saw when we got on the A34, a lot of other people had also elected to stay overnight o Sunday too.
