It's supposed to be "Souped up Sunday" Is anyone going? I've not been to a breakfast club meet yet so providing the weather is good I should be there.

There's already a thread for this in the events section, and there's only a small number of PistonHeaders going. Including myself.

Yeah I saw that after I made this thread rolleyes I thought it would have been in here rather than general events. I'll keep my eyes opened for any PH smilies.

I went, and have to say it wasn't really worth the (small) effort. A poor turnout, lots of barely or poorly modified cars, some clearly std factory jobs, and an egalitarian door policy....

Bacon + Egg sarnies still up to their usual standard though! i left around 10am when it started to rain.

We had to go to Portfield Retail Park this morning, so thought I'd pop in the gate about 10:30 It really was like the Marie Celeste, complete with wind, rain and spray.

Speaking to a couple of Marshalls I don't think anyone missed anything by not going.

Crikey, that looks dire.... just to think only a couple of weeks ago how fantastic it all was!

Shame it was like that when you got there. To be fair the track and paddock were pretty full between about 8:30 and 10 am - when the rain hit most people made a run for it. Not the usual standard of cars across the board but still some highlights that made it worth the early start.

Yep, to be fair, I normally arrive around 8am, but today I had to drop the missus off in Brighton at 9am, so it all went pear-shaped. If I'd have got there earlier, I'm sure the place would have been both busier and drier.
