Fingers, legs, toes and arms crossed, me, in the RallyWreck... Assuming the car a) is built it time, b) doesn't get damaged at the demo runs at Sunseeker on the 26th.

Will definately be there in either my Mini which will be shoved in the car park or in the wife's new diesel MINI which is tax free and so possibly in the pits or track somewhere.

just though is help advertise finishfirst, they will be at every breakfast club in 2011 and will be bringing individual projects to each. heres the website http://www.finish-first.co.uk/ (copy and paste it)

if you want to know then look out for a mk1 escort which is on the projects list as thats mine.

hope this helped

Sorry, with the question-mark I read it as a question.

Typically, on Pistonheads, we don't use text-speak.

Ooh, I assumed tax free Sunday was pre '73 cars as opposed to modern tax free's....maybe its both

It is both but the pre 73 cars are what we really want to see!

They will truly have lost it on the gate if they let any new diesel minis get in!

Why? Some people who have these cars will be thrilled to be able to display them. It won't stop pre '73 cars coming along. Were just trying to make the event more inclusive for those who might not usually have the chance/confidence to take part.

I can guarantee that we will be letting that type of car in.

Enjoy..

James I know cars aren't normally segregated but can I suggest that all new tax free cars like my wifes Mini be parked in a separate area such as the third section of the paddock rather than on the track for a)better photo opportunities and b) to generate better interest in tax free, highly efficient modern motoring. Given that the sort of cars attending would be Toyota Prius, Fiat 500, Smart four-two etc I think it would be a good idea and would also help settle the natives who take exception to modern cars intruding on the old.

Hi mark, I see I'm in trouble again on the GRRC forum! Yours is a good idea but it's really hard to create separate areas for the 'theme' cars at Bfast club. We won't know how many of each type are coming until they arrive on the day and it could create empty areas if its not busy or similarly mean that someone turning up later might not be able to park with similar cars. In reality, there will be few modern cars there (we had them before when it was tax free Sunday) so it shouldn't cause a problem.

Sadly I can't make it.. Family christening in Devon.. I'm relying on you for some good photo's!

Cheers,
J

Why? Because if I want to see a diesel Mini I can just walk down the street or if I want to see an array of them in different colours I can pop into the local Mini dealer.

And why more inclusive? It's busy enough with correctly themed cars as it is...

What's to enjoy about making a special trip to see a load of cars that you can see in any car park?
