Peter Saywell is having another 'charity' track-day. He and around thirty guests bring their cars to Goodwood and give passenger rides for money which goes directly to good causes. You can of course just oggle the cars for free.

The cars range from a stunning and accurate GT40 recreation, through Carrera GT, and everything inbetween. Peters own cars include various special editions, 911s, Aston Martin, AMG, Ferrari, Lamborghini, including the Zonda PS. You name it, it's probably going to be there.

I'll be plodding round in the 993, wearing out my tyres and brakes (unless it's as wet as it was last time) so come and say hello, and get some cash out for the deserving cause.

This time all monies raised goes to The Childrens Ward Worthing Hospital. Full information on the day.

....keeping the Ferraris behind the 993 (in the pits at least  )

ooooh baby

I've had this noted down in my calendar since I saw it on the Goodwood Circuit Diary.

Do you know what time it starts and roughly how much the passenger rides cost (So I get enough money out of the cashpoint). I was going to head along to this anyway, just to take some photos, but if I can go for a ride or two in some of these cars, that would be great.

Have yet to tell the wife I'm going to this and back again the following day for Breakfast Club ! wink

Paddock opens at 7:30
Noise testing starts at 8:00 (105dB limit)
Track opens at 9:00
Lunch 12:30-13:30
Track closes at 17:00

I don't know the cost I'm afraid, but it won't be too much, and it all goes to the people who need it.

I'll be there to watch.

I'm collecting my Mini Countryman at 9am on Sat in London so straight from there and down; I think on the first morning I'd rather the drive in the new car than chucking the Aston on track but will enjoy making some nice videos of the things there for my blog and youtube

I'm on track with my 997 which should be good fun. There is no set amount you give for a ride, you simply give as much as you can afford or feel the ride is worth.

Currently the weather is looking OK with sun in the afternoon.

I'll be there, purely for taking photos though, don't think they'd take it well if I chucked my astra round.

Will be my first time to goodwood, so looking forward to it

Inserts generic list of awesome supercars

Seriously though I'd be interested although I guess we will expect his Zonda PS, the K'egg and the SV, but what else!?

I will be along for this event at some point, kind of hope the event is wet..after orangecurrys driving last time! thumbup ..

Cars i know Mr saywell has had in recent times and rarely leave the garage are Ford GT , Porsche carrera GT ,ferrari 599, Bentley Arnage (the going to work car) and Ferrari F40 (the pride of fleet and the only car never to be upgraded to a newer model over the years! . Cars he has never owned are Ferrari F50 , Enzo or any Bugatti veyron ("said to be NOT good Value for money!") Last count of cars i know was 18 in total ,But cars will be replaced for newer models over the years..not all cars carry a 'AOG' plate either.

Unfortunately it seems it's going to be hot and dry, so I'll be mostly looking out of the windscreen for a change.

That was rather selfish of me. I bet you'll get more passengers in the dry weather Ms Plum hehe
