GRRC Spring Sprint Easter Monday
Discussion
Hi All,
A message for everyone but especially for GRRC Members to remind you about the Sprint which is taking place at Goodwood on Easter Monday. We have approaching 90 entries including something for pretty much every taste from a 1908 Wolesley Sideley built to compete in the Coppa Florio race with a monster 10litre engine to original C-types, classic Ferraris, skylines, GT3s, caterhams, race cars etc etc etc...
As ever, entry to the circuit is free and Members will benefit from access to a fabulously located enclosure including a bar and restaurant..
Practice starts at 09.00, timed runs from around 11.00 and a display from our Historic Harvard at lunchtime. Timed runs will resume at around 13.30 and prize giving is at 17.00...
As I said, everyone is welcome and you will still get a great view of the action even if you are not a Member. You can even walk around the perimeter track after lunchtime (make sure you go the opposite way to the cars).
Finally.. The weather's looking great..
Hope to see you there...
Cheers,
J

I'm taking part. Unfortunately, my Clio is in the same class as a couple of Caterhams and a Renault Spider, but it should be fun. I think normally those cars would be in some sort of road sports class which don't exist at this event. I just hope my new crash helmet arrives in the post in time, otherwise I'll have to borrow one!

hi j,
can you tell me why you can walk around the outside of the track on mon?
as i like to do this at other tracks but at goodwood it's not normally allowed :-)
thanks dave
As it's a sprint, we have many more marshal posts around the circuit (than we do for track dys) which makes the health and safety chaps happy. Do bear in mind that you can only do this in the afternoon though due to the need for a sterile zone for an air display at lunchtime. can you tell me why you can walk around the outside of the track on mon?

I'm hoping to get along to this - is it the usual circuit entrance (arriving by car that is)?
It depends when you arrive.. We are expecting quite a few people so car park D will be in use when the hard standing is full.. Car park D is the usual overflow car park for the breakfast club events...Good turn out and a great selection of cars.
