WD40 Vs GT85 etc
Discussion
Sorry, perhaps this is a bit of a daft question:
Now that the weathers picked up (famous last words) I'm going to give the bike I use to commute on a proper OCD, erm, 'detailing'.
Have got the right sort of stuff for degreasing the drive train, lubing the chain and some grease for the bearings but was wondering what's best for the general stuff. I've been away/injured for the last month and there's a bit of surface rust on some bits - where the spokes meet the rims, on the chain rings etc.
Need a new tin of WD40 anyway but see most places carry GT85 as well I was wondering what you use.
Cheers
Don

Will be replacing the whole chainset at some point soon (hopefully) so just want to get it clean for the next month or so.
Good plan - check the cassette too - these wear quicker than the chainset.I get through an entire drivetrain in 1-2 years - cassette, chain, chainset and until yesterday, a BB too. Now got a Chris King BB which are meant to last forever - I will believe that in two years time but for now, it looks nice
GT85 is great stuff - I use it all over the place - cars, house, bikes, lawnmower, strimmer, etc, etc.
