mtb pedals

my pedals are fubbared and looking for replacement. I have size 11 feet and looking for flat pedals up to 30 quid, any ideas?

Wellgo MG1s.

Very light (magnesium alloys) and last well with proper sealed bearings. They also happen to make much more expensive DMRs - the very similar V12s are about twice the price.

£30 should get you a pair.

I've got MG-1s too, really good for the money. You could also look at Superstar pedals too. My MG-1s have a little bit of play in them now but might just need adjusting.

Personally I found those Wellgo pedals too small, felt like my feet weren't on them enough. I replaced with SuperStar mag ones, much happier.

I just purchased some Shimano M424 from Decathlon sports, £29.99 including cleats... Seem pretty good for what I want them for.

IIRC you can't replace 1/2 the pins on the current V8s, which is beyond stupid given how easily the pins can be mashed/ripped out. At least the grease port spares you the misery of worn bushings a la V12s.

Another one for the V8's - coupled with Five-Ten's they are great (although if you do slip off the pedal it hurts, I have scars on my calfs to prove it). I bought mine in Nov and the pins are removable/adjustable, also they are bomb proof - I have given them a good wallop against marker stones and stumps and so far no damage.

I used to replace the pins with a set of wood screws. Make sure you wear thick shin pads..very grippy, very sharp.
