Threadlock Spokes?

I am looking at buying a wheelset that has the option of a £20 'upgrade' of threadlock being applied to the spokes.
Is it worth paying the extra?

If the wheels have been properly built and de-stressed, there should be no need. And in the event any future minor truing is needed, this will be made way more problematic if the nipples are locked to the spokes. Avoid I'd say (and ask why they think it's beneficial...)

Depends how much threadlock is used, a drop on the non drive side rear down the first thread or two does help, but doing all of the spokes down the whole of the thread is really unnecessary and I certainly wouldn't pay £20 for it

Abssolutly.

You GREASE the nipples, you don't threadlock them.

Else you'll just round off the nipples (especially if alloy) when you try to tweak it in 6 months time after riding in the mud.

Silly idea, and as for £20!? Jesus. Give me that money and I'll build you a set of wheels!
