My mate is looking for a fairly cheap but half decent road bike for commuting to work and as has asked for an opinion on this:

Judging by the materials and components that bike looks at least 20 years old, it has a 5 speed cassette for a start?!?

Edit nothing wrong with that if he wants a retro machine, never heard of Goldhill tbh. But for getting into road biking something more modern might be better and certainly you can add at least 5-10 times in price.
