which MTB tyres - half road and half off-road

I do a fair bit of on-road biking on my MTB (Boardman Team), aswell as off-road obv, and I could do with some tyres with a lower rolling resistance than the standard fit knobblies, but that won't cause me to have poorer off-road performance. What should I buy?

Try Schwalbe crazy bobs. They're designed for dirt jump riding primarily but they're the best tyres for me if I decide to commute on the MTB along tow paths. They're really quick and cheap.

Maxxis Larsens are nice and fast rolling but work well in dry dirt, but I've never tried them in properly slippery conditions.
