Decent MTB shorts - recommendations?

Hi all, I'm looking at getting some shorts for riding the trails around here. I'm liking the look of the baggy style shorts and I've seen the endura singletrack shorts here http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?Mod... basically are there any others I shoudld be looking at for this price?

Also any advice/links to gloves, shoes (bike has flat pedals but might convert to spds as I'm going to be riding xc), and backpacks would be great.

Very much personal choice for baggy shorts, I have a couple of pairs with detachable liners that are comfy, a Fox pair with trad chammy built in liner and then a couple of pairs of very comfy Nemas. The Nemas are a little more nappy like and not to all tastes, they're also expensive but comfort comes at a price.

Try a few in a store and take a plunge - but don't try in a store and buy online, that is the way of the weasel
