Turbo Trainers

Looking at buying one, probably going to go with Kurt Kinetic Road Machine (Been looking used and just missed one on eBay) but I was just wondering if they were noticeably different from the Cycleops Fluid 2 trainer? Anyone able to make comparisons?

I love mine: the resistance is quite high but it's very consistent and quiet enough to allow me to watch DVDs on the laptop.

Being a flat dweller though might prove an issue.

Where do you guys use your turbos?

Mine (tacx Flow) is in a soundproof shed, so no issues with noise. the greatest improvements in making it quieter were putting a turbo specific tyre on it, and making sure the tyre is up to pressure. It's still pretty noisy at low cadence though.

I've decided I'm going to pick up a used one on ebay. Is there any particular make or model I should look out for, or any to avoid? It will need to have remote adjustment thinking about it.

There's a Minoura B60 starting at £70 with no bids finishing soon, it's near me - any good?

Don't bother with variable resistance - that's what the gears on the bike are for.

Sufferfest Angels for yesterday's pleasure.... The video pack is worth getting to get them all for variation and a new one has just been released which I've yet to buy.

Revolver is a complete bh.... Constant on off intervals x 15... High intensity, vomit inducing painfest.
