You know the sort of thing, soft leather faced palms, insulated backs, etc.
I just wish I'd worn them this morning instead of the track mitts. I was out for an hour from 08 this morning, and I bloody froze! Temperature took me completely by surprise, there was frost in a couple of hollows, and I lost all feeling in my fingers. Changing gear needed thinking about as I couldn't feel the levers.
By the time I got back home, my hands had recovered, but my feet were frozen. Bloody lovely morning though around this part of Oxfordshire. Deddington-Hempton-Worton-Barfords-Duns Tew, then up to Hempton again.
That's a good run for this old man, but I really hope the cold this morning doesn't muck up the ride for DrMekon and his 600 non-stop. Must have been a really chilly start for him!
