I put a new set of tyres on the MTB a few months back, and from the off the front hasnt run true, it rolls as though the wheel is buckled, had the tyre off and on and off and on, changed the tube incase that was hindering and still the same, Today I went out and with it being abit wet and muddy I was feeling the tyre wanting to wash out on me, not something I have really felt before,
I had the same tyre on previously with zero issues hence me going same again, could it just be a rogue tyre, I am thinking of changing it with the rear just to see it that does anything or shows anything.

Has anybody ever had a rogue tyre?

Are your rims tubless ready??

I had a similar problem when replacing an inner tube on my trek, which has bontrager tubless ready rims/tyres (but can run inner tubes).

The problem turned out to be the tyre was not seated properly onto rim.

U could see this if you spin wheel and watch side on.

Solution was over inflating to 50psi or until you hear pop as the bead of the tyre centralises.

Yes, I have had a badly made tyre... it was like rolling over a regular bump once per rotation.

But it can also feel like that if you have a tyre that isn't quite seated right on the rim. Part-inflate, bounce, inflate a bit more, then bounce again... Soapy water can also help a tyre seat.

Not personally, but my cousin bought a new bike back in the 70s and the tyres were labelled "DAE YUNG".

Fortunately he survived to adulthood.
