Leaky Bontrager sidewalls...

Last time I rode my full susser I noticed that the back tyre was going soft during the ride. I'm running Bontrager Jones ACX 2.3 tubeless, on Bonty rims, all converted with the proper Bonty kit and sealant. When I washed the bike, I noticed that air is pissing out of the sidewalls at a rate of knots.

When I put the tyres on, I used more than the recommended minimum amount of Super Juice, so I'm reluctant to add more. Does it go "off" or collect in one place if ridden infrequently? Or do I have an issue?

I actually replaced that tyre after EXCACTLY the same issue a couple of years ago, but in fairness I'd beaten the crap out of the tyres in Scotland and scraped all the sidewalls. This time, they are in perfect condition but there's leaks all over...

Any one had similar?

Not same prob but...

Ive got a Trek ex8 with same bonty tubless ready set up, but i am still using inner tubes.
I have found these tyres need over inflating to 40-50 psi before they seat on the rim properly. Could this be your problem ??

Thanks but nope, that's not it. Agreed you need some demon track pump action to get them to start inflating, and then they seat with a real bang. But you can actually see the air bubbling out the sidewalls (with soapy tires obviously!)

You should replace the latex solution in the tyres regularly. Top it up with a shot of Stans...

If you are using Bontrager Super Juice, as you should be then this does not go off it stays liquid. Stans solution will harden up after 6 months because it is a latex based solution which is why it is a pain to use.
If your bike has been standing idle then teh juice will have collected at teh bottom. Give teh tyres a good in flat and take them off. Spin them and rotate onto the side walls, this will re-coat them and teh leaking air will gradually slow down.
Bontrager has a 30 day unconditional performance guarantee so if you are unhappy with tyres within 30 days you may return them with the receipt for exchange or refund.
