New Bike..

..I asked for some advice a few weeks ago, this is what I ended up with:


2011 Cube Ltd Pro. Paid £620 for it, so increased the budget a bit but it seemed worth it as most of the bits are SLX or Deore and its got an air fork.

No excuse for being a lazy git now !

Good choice! I've got the Ltd Race in the same colour scheme. I've only had chance to ride it 3 times but I can tell it is a quick bike and really stiff compared to my old GT Aggressor.

Snap - 2011 LTD Race in the same colour scheme. Put about 70 miles on it since Xmas. So much more responsive compared to my last bike (was 10 yrs old though)

Here's a piccie with the obligatory white goods and a smattering of dirt

I see you have changed the tyres Gren! I've just ordered a set of Panaracers as the Rapid Rob's were scarily bad in the mud!!

Changed the front before I'd even rode it as I prefer more grip up front especially this time of year. The rear felt a little slippy but not too bad, was at least as good as the Conti X-King on my last bike, but those OEM tyres are heavy and the switch saved quite a bit of weight. The folding Evo Ralphs are around 250g lighter per tyre!

Also put in some slime tubes - can't be bothered fixing punctures at the side of the trail

Got mine online from Winstanleys. There were some great deals on 2011 Cubes at the end of last year. Saved around £250 on mine.
