Best shoes circa £100 or S works?

Right need some new shoes, MTB ones please. I use spd's on both my mountain and road bikes.

I tried on some North Wave Sparta SBS, great, got them ordered and delivered. Wore them round the house a bit as they felt a little small, took them off could still feel the shoe on my foot, i also could not wiggle my toes. This was in a 43. Tried a 44 and it was to big.
Tried on a Shimano, circa £80-£100, size 44 and it was a good fit.

However now been looking at the S works shoes, now £200 is a lot of money but are they worth it?

So suggestions for best shoes around £100 (i like the racket design) and are the S Works that amazing that i should buy them.

I've got s works road shoes and they are great! I'd scour ebay, you'll get a deal, I paid about £140 for mine, but I've seen them go for as low as £75, and they also retail at 200

I've got the pro, carbon soled mtb shoes - they are great.. - sooooo much better than the scott shoes I use to commute in!

Keep an eye on ebay but places like cyclestore.co.uk do a lot of deals on s-works shoes normally in the larger sizes, for info just under a year ago I got a pair from them for £119.00 and they are a lovely shoe, don't forget to see what footbed you might need.

I like my north waves, but I did buy a size larger than I would normally as they appeared to be "snug".

Another vote for the S-Works. Lightest most comfortable shoes I've ever worn on the bike.

Personally I love my SIDI's, lovely fit and the carbon sole is very stiff, best bit it is that I can refresh them with spares mines into their 3rd year of use

And another vote here! Worth the money in my experience, very comfy, very stiff and compared to shoes from certain Italian manufacturers of similar quality footwear, good value.
I believe that Specialized retailers aren't really allowed to give discount on products, so if you can find some that are reduced then it would be worth a punt.

Picked up some S works from Evans today, they were marked up at £169.99 went to the till and they came up at £199.99, which i know is the correct price, they still let me have them for the £169.
Really comfy, so very pleased i got them, off for a ride tomorrow hopefully.
