Hybrid for £400 - Scott v Trek

Hi

My father is loking for a new Hybrid and has seen the 2011 Trek 7.3FX for £400 ish and the Scott Sub 30 reduced to £400.

Any advice on which would be the better buy and which has the better spec? He is looking for fitness and leisure riding.
