Considering the "race" type geo of the caad, the handle bar height and angle of bars and brake hoods, is a little uncharacteristic of the machine.
Disagree about the tyres, I have Luganos on my CAAD9 and they've lasted 5000 miles of London commuting with nothing worse than a couple of slow punctures. Sure, there may be better options, but I wouldn't rush to change them.Did you set the bike up?

I've never seen a recommendation for the Lugano's over 4000s of Pro3/4/krylions......think I will leave the 4000S on...good tubes and tyres made a lot of difference to my caad and although the RS10's are not up to the DA clinchers I use, they are surprisingly not as bad as feared.
I never said they were the best tyres in the world, just but you've changed your tune a long way from them being easy puncturing junk. I stand by my opinion that they'll do the op for now. Maybe switch to something faster and lighter once the weather turns, but no need to rip them off the bike and blow 50 quid on something better before he's even ridden it! Thanks guys; I took it for a ride out on Monday night for the first time and wow, the thing is so different to my MTB (remember this is my first roadie)
Did some practices slings for the SPD's (they will take some getting used to) but so far so good
The bike itself will also take a little time getting used too - I found the power and speed instant as soon as you peddle down, the bike rockets off.
I ended up doing a 9 mile demo run to which I didn't find the ride to firm or uncomfortable (I guess I anticipated the roughness of the roads)
Overall, I am well happy with it and can't wait for the weekends to come round. Think I'm going to use the next couple of weeks getting used to it and then be the end of March start to plan my bigger rides etc.
So thank you all for the nice words (thumbs up)

I didn't even really notice anything about the reflectors, kinda thought they were part of the bike. Might take them off

I have read about flipping the stem, but what does achieve? (sorry if this is a daft question, I am a newbie to roading )
