Which is what you would expect with a scam. Well done OP and PH.

Internet buying requires a degree of self prtection.

I suggest:

1) Always pay with a credit card or Paypal. You will not lose. I have never seen a genuine refund refused by CC's or Paypal yet.

2) Take great care with proof of ownership. Do not accept cars without full documentation. Do not accept glib explanations. Exercise due diligence as in business.

3) Look out for obviously under priced scams. A Caterham Seven for £3000 is not a bargain. Its a scam.

Finally REMEMBER If it looks too cheap on the Internet it VERY PROBABLY IS too cheap.
