Lapierre stolen from biketart shop near canterbury, Kent

Hey guys,

sadly some thieving scrotes have taken a 2012 Lapierre Zesty 314 from the biketart shop near Canterbury in Kent earlier today. if local PHers could keep an eye out, that would be swell and everyone at biketart would be eternally grateful.

Considering how thin on the ground 2012 Zestys are, isn't that going to be a mite hard to "get rid"??

you would think so, but it is amazing the way some things can just dissappear without a trace.

and yeah Zestys are very good looking bikes, but more importantly they are fairly easy to recognise :P

Unlucky, but how did they nick it?

Was it blatntly nicked from inside the shop?

I wasnt there today, but I think it was just pinched when the shop staff had their backs turned. Being the friendly and trusting types we are, we let people go for a quick pedal around out in front of the shop on display bikes without taking any details or anything. 99% of the time we keep the customer and our bike in view, but just sometimes you have to pop back inside for just a moment and I guess that all it takes

shame really as I, and im sure everyone else at the shop, would hate to have to stop letting people try before they buy

No doubt it's already been sold for a fraction of its value and the light fingered scum are laying unconscious in a cess-pit of a flat surrounded by used needles.

It's a real shame and I hope you get it back, but surely it wouldn't harm to take someone's driving licence and a 1p credit card swipe as security?

we do if they actually take it off the premises, however this was just meant to be a pedal around the car park in front of the shop, but i guess they spotted an opportunity and took it
