Im thinking of getting a second mtb but after some suggestions.
My main bike is a Canyon Nerve AM so thinking hard tail for the second bike. Budget up to £400 and happy to go second hand.
Gonna convert it to single speed so budget drive train isn't an issue. Need hydraulic discs though and preferably a fairly decent fork.
Also I'm pretty tall so if posting a link to second hand stuff it needs to be at least a large frame.

hunt around the usual suspects; singletrackworld, retrobike and ebay but i cant be arsed doing it for you i'm afraid 
I'm assuming the desire for singlespeed and hydraulic brakes is for a winter/bad weather bike when you dont want to foul up the Canyon?
you should find a few bikes though getting something with a good fork for £400 means you might not be looking at the newest of kit. good forks hold their value as home service kits and professional rebuilds seriously extend their life. also from experience, the bikes in the second hand adverts that have a good fork are unlikely to be running a low end groupset.

A few people I ride with have Inbred's converted to single speed so that was the first I checked out - unfortunately finding bikes in anything other than small or medium seems to be tricky.
Anyone know which bikes would be good for single speed? I'm assuming you don't want something too heavy.
Have checked the usual sites (pinkbike/stw etc) but you have to search by bike name, and I don't seem to be able to think of model names for hard tails a year or two old to come within price range - so feel free to just throw names out there so I can have a search for prices
