MASSIVE Gadget Show fail...

Don't know if anyone's seen this, but the Gadget Show did a test of two carbon road bikes - the £2,800 Onix Azzuro and £22,000 Factor 001.

Just watch the test and see if you notice the massive, huge, mind-numbingly obvious error:

Yes, the 'highly advanced braking system' on the 001 may not have been quite as effective on the downhills given that THEY HAD THE FECKING FRONT WHEEL ON THE WRONG WAY AROUND.

Yes, disc brake caliper clamping nothing but air.

Not seen it as youtube as I can't access Youtube from work, but when I have put my mtb front wheel on the wrong way round the spokes foul the calliper!

Did not notice that at the time. Good spot. I just thought it may have been a bit over braked and user error.

Missed the bike test and the water jet thing due to mini power cuts and the Sky having to reset each time. Bloody dangerous riding around thinking you have 2 brakes and only one is working.

I don't think it was. 3:32 shows the disc on the wrong side as well.

I don't think so either having watched it again. It explains why she was nervous about the braking. I'm guessing she was locking up the back end down those hills.

I suspect the production team did it on purpose to make her go faster, ergo make her tits wobble a lot more with the outcome of more viewers. In fact I am surprised that they didn't make her do it in her manga outfit from last week.

Suzi never have let this happen of course, she would have changed the wheel herself, pulled her thigh high boots up and got on with whipping baldie's ass.

After reading a lot of less than complimentary reviews last year I smiled in when they reviewed the bike...... idiots.

That's really funny!

But not only did they disable the front brake on her bike, what was with the scoring!!!

They gave the cheaper bike an ace review and 5 stars.

Then said the more expensive one was not as good, but had lots of super high tech and was custom made so gave it 4.

Sorry, high tech and custom made count for nothing if the end product is no good. Based on their comments it should have got 1 star - £20,000 more than the cheaper bike and not as good is a very bad product (not saying it is, just saying based what they said and their logic that's what it should have got).

It's such a shame... I love the idea of the gadget show, but the stupid challenges and poor format make it really weak.

If they had given these bikes to two good, known riders to review, it would have been a much better test.

A much better test for your purposes. However: gadget show reviews aren't aimed at people who know anything about the subject. I always get annoyed when their camera reviews don't mention the noise, barrel distortion or purple fringing...
