First sportive/century.
Discussion
A double first for me today, took part in the Lincoln Grand Prix Sportive and it just happened to be my first century as well, what an epic day
Glorious weather, challenging route through the Lincolnshire Wolds and a time I'm happy with, 6:15 for 104 miles. I think this may lead to an addiction..
Looking forward to watching the pros tomorrow blitzing the Michaelgate, if I manage to wake up from my slumber!

Good effort. Got my first century yesterday too on the Fred Whitton.
Very well done, a tad harder than riding through Lincolnshire I should imagine! Are there any sportives out there which specifically aim for fast roads? They all seem to include some sort of 'hilly suffering' element which I can see, would love a fast 100 mile course to really push myself the whole way round.

Only one I could think of off the top of my head that's actually billed as mostly flat. Wind can be an issue out on the fens though, and that is often worse than lots of climbing.
Hold on a moment - I've had another thought - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/wiggle-super-series-wight-... - this one not billed as flat, but the two sections through the New Forest are broadly speaking flatter and fairly sheltered, just don't expect a lot of respect from drivers on the forest roads.
