South Downs Way in a day veterans
Discussion
Im planning on doing this Friday night, so get the train after work from London to Eastbourne and see how I go, I'm familiar with the route as I've run a lot of it but the bike will be a whole new experience.
I'll have the route on the Garmin so should be able to get too lost, need to keep an eye out for the water stops, and take it steady. I'll carry some basic tools and ibuprofen (for my backside!) plus inner tubes and repair kit
So what have I missed? Cheers, Warwick
Ps. I'm doing a couple of these recce's ahead of my ironman in 6 weeks, the bike leg is the SDW :-)

Doing the BHF South downs way in 6 weeks and the exposure night ride in September. We did it last year, the whole 102 in one day. Over 15 hours in the saddle! The last 35 are the hardest. I would rather do the first 65 twice than the last 35.
You will find it hard solo. The amount of food you will need plus decent tools and probably some lights.
You will need to carry some tubes, multitool, chain tool, pump, co2, chain links etc etc. don't attempt without chammy cream!
