double fighter 2?

greetings fellow peddlers!

iv recently bought a new mtb, a forme rage (got a lovely price on it) and its got geax saguaro tyres (26x2.2) fitted which are bloody nice but as im doing mostly road riding iv been thinking about fitting some continental double fighter 2's (26x1.95) to speed things up a bit (plus saving the geax for off road use).

are they any good?

and is there a better option for similarish money for tarmac use with the odd off road/slippy moment?

or shall i just stick with the geax as they're good all rounders?

didn't spot that thread.
most of the ones mentioned are nearly double the price of the fighters. i think im going to give them a try.

I've got double fighters on my hybrid in 700c x38.
Roll pretty fast, not amazing grip in proper mud but more than enough for normal canal path/field/etc.
