Rear Mech Hanger

Broke my rear mech hanger yesterday so obviously need a new one.

Probably a stupid question but are they specific to the frame/drivetrain manufacturer/both?

I'm assuming most frames will be slightly different so I'll need a specific one to match my frame (Canyon - so expect I'll have to pay their bd shipping costs!) but will it also have to be Shimano specific?

Bend or break? Worth getting a mech hanger alignment tool if your ride MTB as you can bend it back and make sure it's properly aligned. I've yet to set up a bike yet that has a properly aligned hanger from new.

Good find - although the numbers don't tie up so you'll have to hope that the models they quote are actually correct. Not sure what the postage cost is from them either but doesn't seem much cheaper than going direct to Canyon tbh.

The hanger is broken rather than bent. It's just from the screw thread to the edge so it will probably hold for a while if I don't do any riding too extreme but it was enough to jam the rear wheel in.
