What Bike, or 2nd Hand?

I'm looking to get a road bike, not had one for 10 years.
After a big Op a couple of years ago, I really need to get fit & roads/cycling was a big interest of mine back in my younger years.

Budget is not big, around £250. My last bike was a Bianchi, which I adored, but it was nicked!

There seems a few names around I have not heard of, but I have read some passionate views on imported Chinese bikes.

Or, a friend of mine, who is big into his bikes, always has been has offered one of his.
The only information I have, & I may have misinterpreted the text, that the bike is called an Adrenalin..but that maybe wrong. Has approx 900 road miles, very good condition, was around £1600 new. He wants £450.
Like I said, information is sketchy, I need to hear & see more.

I'm not planning on taking on Wiggins or club riding, its simply for getting back some much needed fitness.

The two bikes in your post are awful. Not even worth considering.

The only decent sub £500 road bike is the BTWIN triban 3 from Decathalon at £299.

Personally, if your mate is offering you a deal on a used bike, i'd go for that.

Costco had a mekk pogo 2g carbon fibre road bike a couple of weeks ago, not sure if its still there. Felt like it weighed a couple of kgs.

I might be able to push the limit a little further... There's an enormous choice in the under £400/500 bracket!
